Large Walnut and Butternut Wood Turned Lidded Bowl

Large, low walnut wood bowl with lighter butternut contrasting stripe and knob on the lid. While the bowl is segmented wood, the lid is one large slice of black walnut with a stunning grain pattern. This is really a centerpiece!

Measures 12" across x 5" high.

Segmented wood turned bowls are comprised of many dozens (if not hundreds!) of precisely cut, layered, and glued together pieces of wood turned on a wood lathe and sanded to perfect the end product. All wood used by this artist is natural (not stained) and either from local Northern Michigan trees or exotic species.
